We are pleased to inform you that “SMALL THEATRE COMPANY” Ltd. has signed an administrative grant agreement No. BG16RFPR001-1.004-0719-C01 for the implementation of a project titled “Support for SMALL THEATRE COMPANY Ltd.”, funded by the Programme “Competitiveness and Innovation in Enterprises” 2021–2027, co-financed by the European Union through the European Regional Development Fund.
The total value of the project is 82,638.00 BGN, of which the grant amounts to 61,978.50 BGN, including 52,681.72 BGN from the EU and 9,296.78 BGN from national co-financing.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE OPERATION/PROJECT:

SMALL THEATRE COMPANY Ltd. is primarily engaged in the performing arts and aims to invest in modern, high-tech equipment directly related to its core activities. This investment will improve production capacity and, as a secondary effect, support the application of circular models. These efforts contribute to enhanced competitiveness, stronger market presence, an ecological transition in the company’s operations, and sustainable development in line with environmental protection trends.

The project will be implemented through the following activities:

1: Improving production capacity,

in which the acquisition of modern, high-tech equipment is planned. This will enable the company to offer up to twice the volume of services currently provided in the field of performing arts, under otherwise optimal conditions, within the scope of the supported activity.

2: Consultancy services for project proposal preparation,

within which consulting services were provided for the development of the current project proposal.

Following the implementation of the project, the number of creative industry enterprises increasing their production capacity and process efficiency will grow, thus improving their market presence and developing their potential for sustainability and growth. The project’s main objective aligns directly with the goal of procedure BG16RFPR001-1.004.

OBJECTIVES:

Main (General) Objective:

To realize investments aimed at improving production capacity in a creative industry enterprise, thereby enhancing its competitiveness and market presence.

Specific Objectives (SO):

  • SO 1:
    To invest in modern and high-tech equipment necessary for performing arts activities – the main economic activity of the applicant – and to improve the applicant’s production capacity by enabling the provision of up to twice the volume of services currently offered, under otherwise optimal conditions, within the supported activity.

  • SO 2:
    To enhance competitiveness, strengthen market presence, and develop the applicant’s potential for sustainable growth by applying circular models aligned with environmental protection trends in the industry.

  • SO 3:
    To create the necessary conditions for receiving support under the procedure for project proposal selection BG16RFPR001-1.004 “Support for family businesses, creative industry enterprises, and crafts” by providing consultancy services for the preparation of the proposal.

RESULTS:

Results from the activity “Improving production capacity”:

The implementation will result in the following measurable outcomes funded by the grant:

  • Delivery and commissioning of a fixed asset:
    1 motion capture and redirection system;

  • Enhanced production capacity, allowing for up to twice the volume of current performing arts services: modern theatrical performances, festivals, shows, performances, and other live stage works with digital puppet(s) – enabled by technological improvements in production processes and timing, combining traditional performance art with innovation and digitalization. This includes the use of up to 2 digital puppets per performance, without the need to pre-record one of the characters.

  • Investment in modern, high-tech fixed assets, supporting the implementation of circular models and the applicant’s potential for sustainable growth aligned with environmental trends in the field of performing arts;

  • Increased competitiveness and market presence as a result of project implementation.

Results from the activity “Consultancy services for project proposal preparation”:

  • Contractor selection via comparison of two (2) comparable offers, with justification for the selected provider;

  • Signed contract with the selected consultant;

  • Delivery of consultancy services for the preparation of the current proposal under the procedure BG16RFPR001-1.004 “Support for family businesses, creative industry enterprises, and crafts”, Programme “Competitiveness and Innovation in Enterprises” 2021–2027;

  • Signed handover protocol for the provided services;

  • Established necessary conditions for receiving support for the implementation of this proposal under the same procedure.
